Lady Heads is a titled and signed print of a pattern of lady heads I painted into my watercolor journal in April of 2016. I was challenging myself to paint people everyday, as an intentional departure from leaves and berries and made-up plants. Lady Heads was painted in celebration of women, and as I painted these women, some familiar faces appeared. (My sister's head is among these lady heads.)
Printed on an 8 x 10 inch sheet of your choice of paper, this print has a plentiful white border and fits a standard 8 x 10 inch frame.
For this particular print, you should be aware of the look of the paper, since the lady heads float on the paper and more of the paper will show in a frame. The Standard Matte paper is smoother and a much brighter white than the 100% Photo Rag Bright White Hahnemühle paper. The 100% Photo Rag paper is thicker and also super archival, so that is why it costs more. My personal preference is the Hahnemühle paper for this print, simply because I like the look of the paper. The print looks beautiful on either paper, though, so you should base your decision on which paper you would like the look of and (secondly) how many generations you want this print to last. Either print should last a lifetime.
