This is one of four Icelandic birds I illustrated while I lived in Iceland. The whimbel is a wader with an amazingly memorable trill of a call, pretty patterned feathers, and an awesome curved bill.
This is a signed archival print on bright white matte paper. The art is printed on a 9 x 9 inch sheet so that the artwork fits comfortably in a standard frame, making framing simple. This whimbrel pairs well with the Golden Plover (Lóa) in that they are both intricate illustrations in lovely earth tones and they can be displayed facing each other.
